Dr. Yung-Yeh Su’s Story

Dr. Su is a clinician-scientist dedicated to advancing precision oncology for hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers through investigator-initiated trials and translational research. His work integrates clinical data with next-generation sequencing to dissect tumor heterogeneity. In pancreatic cancer, he advanced endoscopic biopsy techniques (Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2023), enabling landmark single-cell sequencing studies (Molecular Cancer, 2025), and identified key germline and pharmacogenomic markers to personalize therapy (Clin Cancer Res, 2026). In hepatocellular carcinoma, his research has been pivotal in defining immunotherapy response mechanisms, including pathological response criteria (Lancet Oncology, 2024), features of durable benefit (Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2024), and the role of B-cells in treatment efficacy (Journal of Hepatology, 2025).

With over 40 peer-reviewed articles, Dr. Su’s research excellence is recognized by the JSMO Young Investigator Award for four consecutive years (2022–2025) and the 2024 Taiwan Oncology Society Young Investigator Paper Award.
