About Asian Partnerships Office

The Asian Partnerships Office was established in Bangkok, Thailand on September 10, 2021. The purpose of the Office in Thailand is to provide local support to neighboring participating ASEAN countries for the ATLAS project.

The office will expand the “Academic Research Organization (ARO) function”, for supporting academic institution that develop drugs, build networks with related facilities, and work on public relations for the ATLAS project. In addition, we will contribute to the development of a platform for conducting international collaborative trials through hiring local human resources and training of ARO staff.

People-to-people connections are essential for the success of collaborative research. Staff members at the office in Asia will visit researchers and related facilities not only in Thailand but also in other countries participating in ATLAS project to foster deeper relationships and provide support for ongoing trials, working closely with NCCH, Japan.

The office will facilitate the efficient start of new clinical trials by building a network with regional key-opinion leaders and researchers in each field and assessing the feasibility of conducting particular clinical trials at each site.

As part of its public relations role, the Asian Partnerships Office with endeavor to engage future collaborators through activities such as conducting seminars and symposia for emerging researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and local government bodies. Indeed, we believe that the Asian Partnerships Office will be a key contributor to the success of the ATLAS project.

In April 2022, the Asian Partnerships Office moved to Ratchathewi, Bangkok.
