Li-Tzong Chen, MD, PhD, a dural qualified gastroenterologist and medical oncologist, has focused on clinical and translational research in digestive tract malignancies. He has organized inter-institution clincial and translational research teams in Taiwan focusing on gastric cancer (including MALT lymphoma) hepatocellular, pancreatic, biliary tract cancer and rare GI tumors, such as gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) and neuroendocrine tumor (NET). He organizes and conducting investigator-initiated, multicenter cooperative studies through Taiwan Cooperative Oncology Group (TCOG), and actively participated in industry-sponsored trials to facilitate new treatment options for GI cancers.
