Dr Tan is a senior consultant medical oncologist at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore and an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Principal Investigator at the Cancer Science Institute, National University of Singapore. His primary clinical and research interests are in gynaecological cancers, precision oncology, and early phase trials (link to publications: https://discovery.nus.edu.sg/4508-shao-peng-david-tan/publications). Dr Tan is currently the Group Director of Partnerships and Innovation at National University Health Systems (NUHS) and Director of the Research Transformation Office at NUHS. He was the founding President of the Gynecologic Cancer Group Singapore (GCGS), and inaugural President of the Asia-Pacific Gynaecologic Oncology Trials (APGOT) Group. He currently chairs the APGOT Protocol Review Committee. He is also the past-chair of the Cervical Cancer Research Network (CCRN) of the of the Gynecologic Cancer InterGroup (GCIG) and is a member of the executive board of directors of the GCIG.
