In 2003, he completed his PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toulouse III, France. He played a central role from the time of designing the Law for the Promotion of Cancer Registries, which started in 2016, and contributed to the establishment of the system. He has been working on the ATLAS project, which is a collaborative effort across national borders and research fields to advance cancer research by networking with many researchers in the field of cancer epidemiology and statistics in European and Asian countries. Beyond these activities, he aims to realize evidence-based cancer control worldwide.
