Wan Zamaniah’s story

Dr. Wan Zamaniah obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya. She completed her specialist training in clinical oncology at the same institution, earning a Master of Clinical Oncology in 2010.

In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively involved in academic roles, serving as a supervisor and coordinator for the Master of Clinical Oncology program and the University Malaya Medical program at the Faculty of Medicine. Her research interests include gastrointestinal cancers and head and neck cancers, and she has served as the principal investigator for several international clinical trials in these areas.

She is a member of several professional societies, including the Malaysian Oncological Society, the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, the European Society for Medical Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
