We provide current multimodal-therapy, including chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy for the head and neck cancer and esophageal cancer, with consideration of each patient’s situation.

• Our department provides the current multimodal-therapy for head and neck cancer and esophageal cancer and has one of the highest number of treatment experiences in Japan.
• We hold regular weekly conferences with physicians who are experts in head and neck cancer and esophageal cancer in various fields, such as head and neck surgery, esophageal surgery, gastrointestinal endoscopy, radiation therapy, diagnostic radiology, and pathology, to plan the best treatment for each patient.
• In our practice, we explain the details of treatment to patients and their families, discuss them thoroughly, and make sure that everyone reaches a consensus.
• We provide “cancer genome medicine,” in which the genes of each individual’s cancer are examined and treatment is provided according to the changes in the genes.
• We are conducting clinical trials of new drugs and translational research in collaboration with domestic and international institutions.
