About Capacity Building
In the ATLAS education project, "Clinical Trial Support Program for Cancer Area", "Cancer Genome Medical Program", "Cancer No. I" are targeted at doctors and clinical research coordinators (CRCs) in Asian countries including ASEAN countries. We will formulate educational programs related to the three cancer clinical studies of the "Phase Study Program" with the aim of conducting international-level cancer clinical trials and introducing cancer genomic medicine into daily practice.
Training opportunities (hands-on training in Japan)
The National Cancer Center Hospital was selected as one of the World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2024 (oncology departments) by Newsweek magazine, which ranks it as one of the best in the world. This is likely due to the fact that the National Cancer Center Hospital is making concerted efforts not only in basic research but also in translational research and clinical research for the development of new drugs.
What is ICRweb?
Introduction to Clinical Research web (ICRweb) is an Internet-based educational program operated by the National Cancer Center. Its purpose is to create and disseminate clinical research education programs. In addition to providing education, the NCC aims to provide up-to-date and useful information on clinical research and to provide a forum for the exchange of information for those involved in clinical research.

An English translation of material from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Here you can find out all about cancer in Japan. The current state, control policy, how prevention, genomic medicine, rehabilitation, rare cancers, childhood cancers, palliative care, patient support are incorporated in the care system, and about cancer registration, raising public awareness, and cancer research initiatives.
