About the ATLAS project -Cancer Research Network in Asia by NCC Japan-
Our project, officially named “Asian Clinical Trials Network for Cancers Project: ATLAS project”, was launched in September 2020 with the funding and support from the Japanese government and Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). Our missions are to support education and training, to install infrastructures for conducting clinical trials, and to conduct multiple international collaborative studies in parallel.
In addition, we have established the National Cancer Center Asian Partnerships Office for the purpose of responding immediately to the problems that would occur at each local site and obtaining the primary information through face-to-face communication with local liaison officers and reflect while conducting the project.
As a future deployment, we continue to encourage participation of stakeholders such as pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and patient groups worldwide and aim to build a system in which we can conduct more than five international collaborative studies in parallel in Asian region by utilizing the platform of the ATLAS project.
